For mid-sized manufacturers who want to protect their people, their brand and their bottom line. The Academy gives you the foundation of a working OH&S management system — sample manual, related procedures and records, configured software, handbook and certificate of completion — and the methodology to operate it. You leave ready to apply the framework on site, with the support of your Certified Fortress Safety System® Partner.
Industry comparison. ISO 45001 implementation consulting for a mid-sized manufacturer typically costs $15,000–$40,000 (Standards Navigator, 2026), with consultant day-rates of $800–$2,500 (SmartQHSE, 2026). The Academy delivers the foundation in three days.

The Academy is built for a specific kind of organisation and a specific kind of leader. Before you invest, let us help you self-select.
A clear fit
A clear No
The economics of safety are unforgiving. Building an ISO 45001 management system through a consultancy is a six-figure project at the upper end and rarely below five figures even at the lower end. Doing nothing is more expensive again — most serious manufacturing injuries cost $40,000 or more once direct and indirect costs are added, with serious incidents reaching well into the millions.
The Academy was built to collapse the cost of building the foundation — without compromising the rigour of the system. You bring your team to a three-day in-person intensive. You leave with a working OH&S management system foundation, a 12-month software licence, the published handbook, and the methodology to operate it.
From there, you can engage your existing consultants, your Certified Partner, or any qualified EHS resource for the onward work — risk assessments, specialised training, audit preparation — at your own pace.
$15Kvs$3.5K
Implementation consulting for a mid-sized manufacturer typically runs $15,000–$40,000. The Academy foundation is a fraction of that.

Most EHS training assumes you’ll go back to your site and apply what you learned. The Academy refuses that handoff. Over three days, you build the foundation in the room — the sample manual, the related procedures and records, and the working knowledge of how to use the mai™ platform effectively — using the framework and the trained guidance of your Certified Partner.
PILLAR 1: BASE · PILLAR 2: GUARD
Set the system foundation: policies, audits, documentation, objectives. Then move into risk discipline: hazards, legal compliance, controls, emergency response and incident investigation methodology.
PILLAR 3: LEAD · PILLAR 4: GATE
Set the system foundation: policies, audits, documentation, objectives. Then move into risk discipline: hazards, legal compliance, controls, emergency response and incident investigation methodology.
PILLAR 5: SCAN · PILLAR 6: MIND
Set the system foundation: policies, audits, documentation, objectives. Then move into risk discipline: hazards, legal compliance, controls, emergency response and incident investigation methodology.
The standard format is three consecutive days. Where corporate scheduling requires it, the Academy can be delivered as 4 days, 2+2, or 2+1 by agreement with your delivery partner.
The Academy is built on the principle that you should leave with a working system foundation — not a folder of templates. Every attendee walks away with all of the following.
An ISO 45001-aligned sample manual, related procedures and supporting records — the foundation you can take into your operation, build out with your site-specific risk assessments and training, and prepare for a certification audit when you are ready.
Full single-user licence to the mai™ platform — Contractor Portal, Risk Assessment, Audit, Incident Management, Training, Permit to Work, and the rest of the module library. Configured during the Academy.
The published handbook of the framework, written by Dr Dan Gallagher — the methodology behind each of the six pillars and the templates to deploy each one in your business.
Issued by EHA Soft Solutions, evidencing successful completion of the Academy. CPD points pending accreditation. Recognised by partner organisations as part of their own delivery records.
You don't watch — you do. Every concept is practised on the live mai™ platform alongside your Certified Partner. You leave able to run the system, not just describe it.
Software updates over the licence term, the ability to engage your Certified Partner directly for any subsequent site-specific implementation work, and induction into the Fortress Safety System® Alumni Network as we onboard our founding cohorts.

— The Fortress Safety System® Promise
The Academy is not a generic ISO course. It is a complete, turnkey approach built on twenty-five years of frontline practitioner work in regulated manufacturing.
The Academy is not theoretical. It is built on twenty-five years of implementing safety systems in complex manufacturing environments across multiple industries and countries.
Participants gain access to mai™ — the safety management platform built specifically for regulated manufacturing. This is not just training; it is immediate implementation with proven tools.
Unlike programmes that offer knowledge without implementation tools, the Academy provides everything — software, framework, handbook, procedures, certificate — in a single comprehensive package.
The Academy goes beyond theoretical scenarios by analysing actual case studies and statistics from past incidents — ensuring you do not repeat costly mistakes that others have already made.
Our methodologies have been adopted by global leaders including Pfizer, where the contractor management system won global recognition. The Saudi Aramco Supplier Safety Management System (2011) — built by Dan Gallagher — has been deployed to over 10,000 suppliers.
The framework is the foundation text for the National University of Ireland, Cork (UCC) Master's programme in Occupational Health, where Dan delivers guest lectures. Bridging academic best practice with real-world implementation.
The Academy addresses the human side of safety transformation — the change management essential for successful implementation — a critical element most technical programmes overlook.
While other programmes explain what ISO 45001 requires, the Academy delivers the toolkit to pursue certification — sample procedures, records, software and implementation know-how in one comprehensive system. You leave ready to do the field work needed to be certification-ready.
Framework, software, procedures and community — each element reinforces the next. The cycle is what makes the system durable.
Olivia is a real Health & Safety Manager at a medical device manufacturer. When she joined Dan for one of the early Safety System programmes, she was the only person at her site running risk assessments and felt isolated. The framework gave her team a unified approach — and the results in 60 days reframed how the business saw safety.
Olivia’s team initially assumed the biggest risk on site was manual handling between production and packaging — a sensible but unverified hypothesis. When they applied the framework’s risk methodology, the data told a different story: a small leak in the compressed-air lines was creating a near-invisible mist on the floor, causing slips that nobody had logged.
The lesson Olivia took away: “What feels risky is not always what is risky. Risk needs facts, not feelings.”
By the end of 60 days, the team had real ownership of the risk process — and supervisors were running hazard checks in their daily huddles.
The Fortress Safety System® was developed by Dr Dan Gallagher, founder of EHA Soft Solutions and creator of the mai™ platform. The framework is the distillation of more than 25 years of frontline EHS work in regulated pharmaceutical, life sciences and high-hazard manufacturing.
Dan holds a PhD in Food Science and Technology from the National University of Ireland, Cork, a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Protection, and a Higher Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work. He has developed and implemented ISO and OHSAS management systems across health and safety, quality, food, and environmental disciplines, including top-tier COMAH / SEVESO and IPPC-licensed operations.
His earlier work includes authorship of the Saudi Aramco Supplier Safety Management System (2011) — deployed to over 10,000 suppliers and still in active use today — and a practitioner’s guide that became the foundation text for the University College Cork Master’s programme in Occupational Health. Dan held an Adjunct Senior Lecturer appointment at UCC from 2021 to 2024, and continues to deliver guest lectures on OH&S and environmental risk in modern safety management systems.
His contractor management methodology was recognised with the Pfizer Global Safety Award. The framework on these pages is the current refinement of fifteen years of that methodology.
“If this work prevents even one person from being injured, becoming ill, or worse — it has all been worth the effort.”

Direct delivery from EHA Soft Solutions — the framework’s home and the platform’s source. Founder cohorts run by Dr Dan Gallagher, creator of the Fortress Safety System®.
The Academy expands by demand. Tell us where you are and how many seats you’d want. When a cohort opens within reach of you, we’ll let you know first.
We open new cohorts where there is real, named demand. Every name on the waitlist is data we use to schedule the next region. When five or more leaders are waiting in a region, we move to confirm a partner and a date.
You are placed on the list at today’s price. When a cohort confirms in your region, you get first refusal before public registration opens.
The Fortress Safety System® Academy is delivered worldwide by certified independent consultants and consulting firms. Partners receive a full delivery licence, the official course materials, mai™ platform access for delivery, and a structured commercial framework to grow a regional Academy practice.
The Academy is also a one-to-many offer for coaches and consultants who currently only deliver one-to-one — letting you scale the impact of your work with a system already proven in the field.
Founding Partners — like FRISK Miljöpartner across Northern Europe and DV Consulting in Portugal — were the first wave of an international network now expanding across the UK, USA, DACH, Southern Africa and beyond. We are actively recruiting in regions where qualified demand is building on our waitlist.
Yes — and we recommend it. Sites that send a small team (typically the EHS lead, an operations or quality counterpart, and a maintenance or contractor coordinator) deploy the system far faster than sites that send one person. Multi-attendee discounts are applied at registration.
By the end of day three you will have a sample OH&S manual, related procedures and records, your live mai™ platform set up, and the framework documentation suitable for board-level review. To complete your full system, you will then go back to your site and apply the risk assessment procedure to your operation, deploy the training procedure with your team, add any site-specific procedures the risk assessment identifies, and embed the contractor protocols. Your existing consultants or your Certified Partner can support that work.
You are welcome to bring your current risk register, audit findings, recent incident reports and contractor list. Where time allows during the cohort, your trainer will use this material as live working examples. Otherwise it serves as your own reference for the work you will do back at your site.
Join the regional waitlist above. The Academy expands by documented demand — when five or more leaders are waiting in a region, we move to confirm a partner and a date. Waitlist sign-ups are placed at today's price and get first refusal when their region opens.
Three full days of in-person delivery with a Certified Fortress Safety System® Partner, a 12-month single-user mai™ platform licence configured for your operation, a printed copy of the Fortress Safety System® handbook, a certificate of completion (CPD pending), induction into the alumni network, and lunches and refreshments throughout. Excludes VAT, travel and accommodation. Pricing varies by region — see your local cohort page.
Three days is the format we have found delivers the system foundation in the most efficient way for senior corporate audiences. Where a four-day, 2+2, or 2+1 split format works better for your team, your delivery partner can accommodate that by agreement.
No. The Fortress Safety System® Academy is delivered in person only. The hands-on element — building the system in mai™ alongside your Certified Partner — is the work that produces the outcome. We do not offer recorded or self-paced versions.
The Academy gives you the foundation in three days — the sample manual, related procedures and records, configured software, and a trained team. From there, many companies engage their existing consultants, or their Certified Partner, for any subsequent site-specific implementation work that is required: risk assessments, specialised training, certification audit preparation. The Academy makes the engagement between consultants and their clients much more efficient — creating a common platform that becomes the bridge between them. Not less needed.
For organisations with eight or more attendees from the same operation, private cohorts can be quoted on a case-by-case basis. The delivery format and content remain the same — what changes is that we run it on your site, drawing from your own operation as live working examples during the cohort. The mai™ software itself is not customised for private cohorts. Contact your nearest delivery partner directly to discuss.
EHA Soft Solutions has applied for CPD accreditation of the Fortress Safety System® Academy curriculum. CPD points will be awarded to attendees on confirmation. The accreditation status is shown on every cohort page and on the certificate of completion once granted.
Senior EHS consultants and consulting firms can apply to become Certified Delivery Partners. The programme includes a structured certification process, full course materials, mai™ platform access for delivery, and a commercial framework that supports a regional Academy practice. Apply via the partner section above or email dan@ehasoft.com.
Reserve a seat in Dublin, Rotterdam or Lisbon — or join the waitlist for the next cohort in your region.
